'Superheroes' flex their muscles

The Jewish Alliance of Greater Rhode Iceland (Alliance) held its first annual Mitzvah Day on Sunday 13 March.

Some 375 people - from toddlers to teenagers and senior citizens, students - participated. Although the pictures to tell the story, some figures are remarkable.

"It was an amazing day," said Randy Rosenthal, Associate Alliance staff who organized the event. "I hope people continue to stay involved in some form of tikkun olam their choice. We appreciate the outpouring of support."
